Dog Training And Why It’s Important For Both You And Your Dog
Article by WellTrained Dog
Most dog owners would love to have a well-trained dog, yet many dogs are not trained very well! Firstly, you should understand that it IS very possible to train your dog, if you understand properly how to do so.
If you've already tried and not succeeded as well as you would like, don't worry, this is not your fault. When you get information that is correct enough and complete enough for you to really understand how dog training works, it will work easily and effectively.
If you might be worried that training your dog is too difficult or time-consuming, then please understand that, like many things in life, it's only difficult until you learn how to do it right. Once you have all the right information, and understand how dog training works, it is easy and effective to do in practice.
Dogs are naturally pack animals (since they were originally descended from wolves and wild dogs), and have an instinctive need to understand what the leader of the pack (that's hopefully you, the owner) wants it to do. This is one of the reasons why training your dog is good for both of you.
One the other side of the relationship, when your dog understands what you want, and obeys you when you wish, this makes you happier with your dog, and the dog loves your positive feedback, so again this is better for the both of you.
Another reason is that both you and the dog are happier if you can be sure your dog will behave as you require in social situations. This makes you proud of the dog, the dog proud to get your admiration, and once again, you both win.

Dog Food Allergies
Article by Dogs Eating Grass
As in man some dogs are more prone to food allergies than others. By keeping an eye on your dogs' behaviour you can notice any reactions your dog has. Some dogs may have different reactions than other but some key symptoms can be Itching any part of the body more vigorously, biting limbs and infection of eyes or ears. Most dogs will have diarrhea or sickness but this is unlikely to be an allergy and more likely to be a bad stomach
Dog food allergies are mainly more common as most of your dog's foods are made from ready made foods. Like prepared human food, dog food contains more filter, proteins and colouring. The gastro intestinal tract is involved in the majority of food allergies, which depending on your dog can be more sensitive too some foods than others.
If you try a different dog food to what they are used too, keep and eye out for different behaviour patterns and keep a diary, of what your dog eats and any unusual behaviour your dog is showing. If you are at all worried ask for professional help from your vet and tell them with as much information as possible which will help rule out other causes.
Some dog breeds are more prone than others and seeking advice from your vet will give you more knowledge of the different foods you dog can eat and the right diet. For example, I have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, he only eats when he is hungry and not because the food is there. He has a sensitive stomach and as the vet suggested we only give him sensitive dry dog food. Knowing this information it has given me more insight of any symptoms he shows when experiencing allergies.
As with recent studies of children and food additives, this can be linked with dogs too. Dogs did not originally have prepared food and ate raw meats, they now have a die at that contains preservatives and amid of added colours. If you make the decision to mix your dogs food diet the best way to do is to introduce this slowly and keep a diary of any signs of allergic reactions.
Dog food allergies can happen at times and keeping a close eye on your dog will reduce this risk.
Dog food allergies is different to food intolerance. Food intolerance is the result of poor digestion, such as lactose intolerance. Missing or low levels of the milk digesting enzyme lactase is the cause of lactose intolerance in dogs and humans.

Fun Facts and Information About Dogs
Article by Davey Martin
Just about every parent who has both children and dogs knows about the love between the two. Dogs love children without any strings, and watch over them protectively. Dogs will patiently allow children to grab food from their food bowls, ride them like horses (if they are big dogs), or have their ears tugged. Because of this unique relationship that dogs and children share all over the globe, I have gathered some fun facts and information about dogs that kids will enjoy learning.
Do Dogs See Color? Most kids probably do not give much thought to how dogs view the world around them. If they do think about it, though, they might be stumped as to whether dogs see in black and white or in color. Or, they might just assume that dogs see the world just as they do. The truth is that dogs do see in color, but not with as much vibrancy as we see. Dogs see the world in more muted colors, similar to how the world looks to us at dusk, when the sun goes down.
Dogs may not see as much color as we do, but they do see much better when there is very little light. Have you ever noticed how dogs eyes seem to glow when you use a flash to photograph them? That is because they have a reflective film just behind the retina that captures light and reflects it back to the eye. This layer allows them to see better in low light.
Dogs Sense of SmellWhen it comes to smelling, dogs win over humans hands down (or is that paws?). Their amazing noses are capable of smelling 100,000 times better than our noses. This is why dogs stop and sniff so often when going for walks. They are smelling things that we cannot.
This incredible ability to smell is actually why thy do not see color as well as we do. They don't need to see the world around them. What they can't "see" with their eyes, they can with their noses.
Patterns On Dog NosesDogs don't have fingerprints, but they have something just like them: nose prints! Those of you who have dogs are used to seeing smudgy nose prints on windows all around your home, possibly even your cars. What you might not have known is that every dog's nose pattern is specific to that dog.
In other words, just as with snowflakes, each nose pattern is unique. If you have multiple dogs and you pay attention to the marks they leave on windows, you can actually identify which dog left which print, simply by the patterns that are left on the windows.
Dogs Are A Part Of The FamilyHave you ever gotten a greeting card from someone and had it signed by all the family members, including their pet dog? Or, have you done this yourself? Chances are pretty good that you answered, "Yes," to at least one of the questions above, because at least 70% of families include their pets names when signing holiday and birthday cards. Some people even send cards from just their pets.
Cards aren't the only place where pets are included as family members. An incredible 58% of families bring their dogs along and include them in family pictures. Do not be surprised if, while visiting someone's home, you spy a photo of their family and see their dogs sitting with them in the photo.
Dogs And Their BarksDogs bark, plain and simple. They bark at strangers, at other dogs, or even at nothing at all. Some barks are quiet, others are booming, but regardless of they volume, it seems that all dogs bark.
Actually, not all dogs do bark. This tidbit of information about dogs may come as a surprise, but there is one breed of dog, known as the basenji, that has no bark. It is a wolf dog from Africa. That doesn't mean it is mute, though. Instead of a bark, it does a kind of a yodeling noise, as well as howl and growl.
As you can see, dogs are very interesting animals. There is far more information about dogs than I've written here. If you like these fun facts, then you should check out my website.
