Get Grain Free Dog Food for Your Pet

Posted by Jocke

Article by Jamie Lansley

Grain free dog food is prescribed for canines because grains are thought to be a dangerous type of meal to feed canines. The reason for this is that dogs are not suited to digest grains as they are carnivores. Unlike humans who are omnivorous feeders, dogs are created as carnivores. This is also why their teeth are shaped aptly for chewing and tearing meat into bits and pieces but they are most likely to have some difficulty eating veggies and as well as grains. This is also the reason why feeding grains to dogs can only be made possible when the latter was cooked.

However, grains can be to some extent allowable for dogs to eat provided that they are cooked first. Because these grains are cooked, they are converted into simple carbohydrates which the dog's digestive system would find easier to digest. Cooked grains are also easier to munch on thereby easy turning them to even smaller pieces. But you should remember that only a handful of grains are still considerable for dogs even when cooked, such as rice, wheat, and corn. Rice can become 100% digestible if they are cooked prior to be served your dog.

With all these information about grains and their likely effects on dogs, you should definitely take time ensuring that you feed your pet only grain free dog food. While cooking does turn grains more dog-friendly, that's still not a hundred percent sure to be safe. You can easily check on the food your dogs consume especially if you buy them dog food because the nutritional value would be printed on the label-whether the food's in a pack or a can. Make sure you read through the ingredients thoroughly. It would also be wise if you would eventually decide to stick with just a particular brand of dog food.

Becoming active among online forums is another way to get information on grain free dog food. The great thing about forums is that they are usually accessible for free. You only need to sign up so that you would be able to reply on existing conversations on threads or create a new topic of your own. You can also meet new people there who also love pets like you and have some get-together for you and the dogs as well. In a way, you don't only broaden your knowledge but your contacts and networks too.

There's a lot of grain free dog food that you can buy these days especially among commercial stores. You can also try creating a recipe for your pet to ensure the safety of what they eat. More than just protecting their digestive system, allowing them a diet that's free from grains can also help prevent them from having allergies.

Solid Gold Dog Food: Is It Worth It?

Posted by Jocke

Article by Miss Lily Bug

Is Solid Gold Dog Food really good for your dog? My answer is yes. The majority of the dog food on the shelves at your local store is killing your dog.

The ingredients of the dog food at these stores are disgusting. Among them are euthanized dogs, rotten meat, feces, and maggots. Los Angeles has been known to ship their euthanized dogs to dog food companies. The drug used to euthanize dogs is not broken down in the manufacturing process, therefore your dog is slowly ingesting minute amounts of it.

A major ingredient in these dog foods is corn. Dogs cannot digest corn in any form, yet it continues to be a major ingredient. Why are these companies making dog food for our friends when they contain such horrible things? To make money. Plain and simple. Most people aren't educated to what these ingredients are. My plan is to educate as many people as I can, and show them which brands are best. Solid Gold Dog Food is one of these brands.

Solid Gold Dog Food is all natural, and was not involved in the dog food recalls. Solid Gold Dog Food puts ingredients such as:

Bison, salmon meal, cracked pearled barley, millet, brown rice, rice bran, tomato pomace, canola oil, flaxseed, blueberries, cranberries, carrots, and broccoli- These are all in a Solid Gold Dog Food product.

Have you checked your dog food bag yet? Does it contain any of these ingredients at the top of the ingredient list? Probably not.

I am a parent to 2 beautiful little girls, I am also a parent to 2 boxers. I wouldn't dream of feeding crap to any of them. I feed Solid Gold Dog Food to my boxers, and believe it or not, it is made out of human grade ingredients.

homemade healthy dog food

Posted by Jocke

Article by Jason Michaels

Homemade healty dog food is not an alternative that you can ignore, it is necessary for the health and welfare of your dog!!

Your dogs deserve to be fed the best food available! They are your constant companions, man's best friend. Feeding them homemeade dog food will make them live longer, providing you with companionship for many more years!!!

Commercial dog food is completely inadequate. It does not provide all of the required vitamins and minerals required for dogs. And in the past few months, almost half of the major dog food producers in the United States have recalled major shipments of dog food due to salmonella and tainted wheat gluten in the food. IT IS NO LONGER SAFE TO FEED COMMERCIAL DOG FOOD TO YOUR DOGS. You need to start making homemade healthy dog food.

As an example, below I provide a recipe for a healthy dog treat: 1 pound ground beef2 cups dry kibble1/4 cup honey1/4 cup wheat germ oil1/4 cup Linatone (vitamin oil)

1. Grind Kibble in food processor or blender.2. Combine all ingredients well and form into 1/2-inch balls. Store in the freezer. Use for treats or weight gain.

This is great to use as treats, or for dogs who are a bit too thin. This is infinitely better than giving your dog commercial dog food that is made out of horses, other unsanitary meat, and sometimes even other dogs.

I have a blog where I share recipes for homemade healthy dog food, and keep other pet owners updated on the latest news on the dog food recalls. Please visit my blog at homemadehealthypetfood.com for more information on homemade healthy pet food and the pet food recall.

Also, I purchased a book full of homemade healthy dog food recipes, written by a Mr. Miller, who has been using these recipes to make food for his dogs for over fifty years. It was an amazing book, full of hundreds of recipes, A Mr. John Miller has been feeding his dogs a healthy, homemade diet for over 50 years, and has written this book! Mr. Miller even wrote recipes for dog treats, and special dog foods that keep fleas away from your dog! There is more information on it at HOMEMADE DOG FOOD RECIPES
