The importance of high quality dog food

Posted by Jocke

Article by Swell Group

Many people think that as long as the dog has been fed then that’s all they need to do. This is wrong because the dog’s diet is such an important factor to their health and well-being.

There are many dog foods out there on the market but which ones are right for you?

If you new dog is a puppy then of course you would start feeding the dog on a puppy/junior dog food such as Arden Grange Puppy dog food. This will give them all the help they need to get them growing and building a healthy immune system. This then advances to the adult food such as Arden Grange Chicken and Rice dog food.

Unlike humans dogs first and foremost are interested in food by smell alone. The nose of a German shepherd contains up to 200 million olfactory receptors, while the most sensitive human nose has no more than 20 million.

On the other hand when it comes to taste buds humans have around 9000 and the average dog has around 1700. So as you can see from these figures, smell is the most important part for the dog.

A high quality dog food is key to having a happy healthy dog and feeding good food you will see the benefits in the dog’s performance and of course the shiny healthy coat.

You can also buy breed specific food such as German Shepherd Eukanuba dog food which is aimed at the breed and so will take into account all the breed factors such as size, size if kibble and of cause issue such as the jaw. Some breeds such as the boxer have a lower jaw that protrudes beyond the upper draw and curves slightly upwards (prognathism).

Your dog needs the goodness and nutrients as we do. So they will grow and develop to become fit and healthy as long as they are being fed the correct food.

Here's the story. A few months ago I was live streaming and everybody asked me to switch games. I put up a facebook poll and had them decide between Black Ops, BF3, Portal, and (as a joke) bacon. Well bacon won by a landslide and so I started thinking about what I was going to do. I mean, I'm putting on a show here and I didn't want to disappoint. I went downstairs and found the bacon dog treats made out of duck. They looked amazing and to be honest, I've considered them as a snack before because my house never really stocks snack food. I will never consider them again.

Dog Food Disaster (Hilarious!!)

Posted by Jocke

Our 2 year old son Havoc created a giant mess with our golden retrievers dog food. Prior to this event, he had pulled out every pan from our shelves and filled them with cereal and milk.. I figured I would get this on camera so our family back home could see for themselves!! It only took a good 30 minutes clean everything up..

Facts You Should Know About Dog Food Ratings

Posted by Jocke

Article by Aron K.

Pet owners who are very conscious about dog food ratings must be aware of the kind of nutrients their pets get from dog food recipes manufactured by companies. Many brands claim to be of high quality but the truth is they don't really contain the right ingredients in their items. Oftentimes, they just mislead pet lovers with their fancy packaging and eye catching labels.

If you really get down to what manufacturers include in their dog recipes you would think twice about giving your beloved pet a bag of doggie treat again. Here's why they're not of high quality in the first place:
