Herding Dogs:

The Australian cattle dogs and Shetland sheepdogs fall in the category of herding dogs. They are probably the best obedient dog breeds. They require constant training to stay happy. They need both mental and physical workouts daily as they are bred to work.

Sporting Dogs:

The Labrador retriever and the Golden Retriever are the breeds that fall in the sporting dog's category. They are bred for hunting birds and other types of games and are most loyal to their owners. Labrador retrievers are the most smartest and trainable breeds.

Hounds:

Dachshunds and greyhounds are the dogs that hunt by smell or sight. They are also most obedient and loyal breeds of dog.

Working Dogs:

The Rottweiler and Doberman are the working dog breeds. Both these dog breeds are loyal and fierce in protecting their homes. They can make good family dog and enjoy training and working due to the praise they receive.Apart from the above breeds, German Shepherds is also the loyal and obedient breed that is generally seen in many homes.

However, the obedience of the dog depends on the training he receives. Every dog can be obedient if he receives proper training and affection from his owner.
